Manchester City Debutants

The young Uzbekistan center back, Abdukodir Khusanov had a horrible first five minutes into his debut by making a mistake that helped Chelsea take an early lead in the Etihad, but as all great defenders always find a way to respond to mistakes. Khusanov played up to the 54th minute of the game and showed a lot of character from the troubling start, making crucial blocks and important tackles.

Khusanov is only 20 years old and has already shown qualities on his first game for Manchester City that he has a bright future and a promising career. Looking at his first game in sky blue, it was clear to see that he is an aggressive defender by using his strength to win the ball, he also showed that he is a ball playing defender and not scared to play the ball back to goalkeeper despite making an error doing so in the first minutes.

Khusanov becomes the first ever player from Uzbekistan to play in the premier league and will face challenges in learning a new language, the intensity off the premier league and the press (social media) criticism.

Omar Marmoush played most of the match against Chelsea and showed qualities that Manchester City have missed through out this season. The Manchester City new forward showed that he is a lighting fast player that is not scared to run in behind the backline of the opponents. He is a very skillful player as he showed that he can play passes into dangerous positions and run at defenders with the ball to get his team into a more advanced position.

Omar Marmoush has had a pretty impressive season so far making his name in the Bundesliga with Frankfurt, attracting Manchester City to purchase him for a high fee of 70 million euros according to the BBC. Marmoush has played in European competitions and will only help City try and progress within the Champions League.

This has been a very troubling year for the league champions and by adding more stability and potential game changing players to the squad this could help Manchester City finish within the top 4 of the premier league and next season claim the top spot of English football.
