Can Manchester City do the Impossible in Madrid?

Image
Manchester City go into the second league against Real Madrid 3-2 down, looking to overturn the tie and proceed to the next stage of the Champions League. Manchester City travel to Madrid with a little confidence that they can turn the tie around after a very impressive victory over Newcastle at the weekend. Manchester City have failed to win at the Bernabeu for three consecutive seasons, meaning that the odds are not in their favor. Manchester City missed out on the use of there new January signings which could play a key part in Madrid and possible take the European champions by surprise, but its going to take a massive effort for Manchester City to over turn this game and win by at least two or more goals in regulation time, or win in extra time. Penalties is not Manchester City's strongest factor and by being able to avoid this scenario could see them throw to the next round    Real Madrid looked very dangerous against Manchester City on the transitional play due to the pa...

Back in the Top 4 for Manchester City

Manchester City beat Newcastle United 4-0 putting them back into the Champions League spots of the Premier League.  Omar Marmoush scored a first half hattrick against Newcastle United, it was a very impressive hattrick with all different types of goals the Egyptian scored. The first goal was a long ball played over the top to Marmoush who chipped the goalkeeper from outside the box, the second goal was a passed played into him and cut back to shoot near post of the Newcastle goal and the third goal was a classic Manchester City goal, with Savinho running down the line and playing the ball into a dangerous position where Marmoush was waiting to shoot the ball into the back of the net.  After Omar Marmoush's hattrick Manchester City went onto get a fourth goal with James McAtee scoring a volley after a flick on from the captain of the Manchester City for this game (Erling Haaland) which made for an impressive 4-0 win against a very decent Newcastle United. Manchester City Goalke...

Manchester City Sign a CDM on Deadline Day !!!

Manchester City have finally signed a central defensive midfielder, based on the uncharacteristic season Manchester City are having and results slipping away from the champions, they spent money within the last few hours of the transfer window.  Nico Gonzalez will come into the squad straight away as the only holding midfielder the club has due to injury to Ballen Dor winner Rodri. It has been reported the fee was 60 million euro according to Sky Sports which was the release clause in his contract at FC Porto. The Spaniard has had a very encouraging season scoring goals and assists whilst being able to hold the midfield and control games, this signing is very similar to when Rodri signed for Manchester City as Nico is only 23 years of age, has a similar build and was encouraged to work with Pep Guardiola.  There will be a lot of expectation on Nico but Manchester City fans have to remember when Rodri came into the Premier League, he has an average first season and take time to...

Manchester City Debutants

The young Uzbekistan center back, Abdukodir Khusanov had a horrible first five minutes into his debut by making a mistake that helped Chelsea take an early lead in the Etihad, but as all great defenders always find a way to respond to mistakes. Khusanov played up to the 54th minute of the game and showed a lot of character from the troubling start, making crucial blocks and important tackles.  Khusanov is only 20 years old and has already shown qualities on his first game for Manchester City that he has a bright future and a promising career. Looking at his first game in sky blue, it was clear to see that he is an aggressive defender by using his strength to win the ball, he also showed that he is a ball playing defender and not scared to play the ball back to goalkeeper despite making an error doing so in the first minutes.    Khusanov becomes the first ever player from Uzbekistan to play in the premier league and will face challenges in learning a new language, the inte...
